We all want a fairytale,
even though we know our happy endings are tainted,
Even though we know were doomed to fall for the wrong reasons,
Our fairytales are our addictions for a dream,
A dream....Lost.
a broken mirror shattered to justify you were right,
The reasons I never dreamed,
The kiss I never wanted to end but did and took you with it.
The fairytale I wanted to rip out my diary,
Killing my fairytale and to let you burn away from me,
bury me deep to never breathe, kiss, love the fairytale you'd play to be,
a broken reminder,
Killing you...My fairytale,
My addiction for a dream,
A dream...Lost.

What if it were all a dream?
If everything I see
and smell
and hear
and touch
and love
Are mere illusions?
Shadows in the mirror
Mirages of my mind,
These things I've held so dear;
Is that all they are?
Remembered love,
Remembered pain,
Equally precious to my soul.
Yet memories and people pass
and fade, and none will stay.
Life is destined for Loss
and Dreams live 'til the Morn'.
Let us never forget.
Night comes
once more.

Ah, I should probably write that down somewhere before I forget... and it needs a title, argh... I hate titles...
But even so, I hope you like it! ^-^ Even though everyone has to wake from their idealized dreams and fantasies come morning, remember that nighttime is always just around the corner.

The girl at her music sits in another sort of light, the fitful, overcast light of life, by which we see ourselves and others only imperfectly, and seldom.
But the tale itself never really ends. There is no "happily ever after," nor is there "and the evil [whatever] got what they deserved."
It's simply a matter of events meant to play out, and through it all, we see who we are. That is why we don't take death into our own power. We'll never see the end of the story. Not the true end, at least.
So there is an end, yes and no. But that is not why the dreamer dreams. A dreamer dreams because they can, and they should. It sometimes takes one dreamer to bring another back. Let's hope I've returned the favor, in some small way.
